Selena awoke with a groggy haze, not like most wake ups from a deep slumber but with the extra blanket of shade cast from a night too long or too much drinking. She was in bed, but the bed felt strange, alien. She felt an itch on her forehead but when she went to scratch it she was met with a loud CLANK.
Her eyes widened as she tilted her head back and looked up, her arms were raised above her head and individually handcuffed to the iron bars of a headboard above. She examined the cuffs for signs of weakness but they were locked tight to the headboard three feet from each other. She searched around frantically for a way free, her long blond hair whipping around as she panicked. The cuffs were snug on her wrists, not too tight but clearly UN-slippable. These cuffs were not the kind of cuffs you would get at a joke or sex shop, these looked police issue and Selena was more than a little sure she was indeed stuck.
Selena tried to sit up but similar clanks on her spread out legs indicated that similar chains were securing her legs to a foot board. She could feel the cold iron at the end of the bed with her bare feet and it was as unyielding as the one at her head. Any attempt to struggle was met with clinking chains and a metal frame that neither moved nor even groaned from her efforts. She looked down at her body and was relieved to discover she had not been stripped down naked, instead she was in her tank top and shorts that she usually slept in. From this detail, Selena began to piece together what happened...she was probably taken from her bed in her apartment. Further details were elusive, her head still spinning from whatever she had been drugged with. She looked out into the room and saw a strange timer counting down from twenty five minutes.
“Are you OK?” A feminine voice called out from nearby, Selena strained to move her head and see but she had not yet adapted to the semi darkened room made and it made pinpointing the individual hard. All she was able to determine was another bed nearby in the darkness.
“Who are you?” Selena asked in shock. “Did you do this to me?”
“My name is Stephanie.” The voice replied. “I assure you I didn't kidnap you, as I am likewise bound to a bed. I've been awake for...well a little while and I can't get loose.”
Stephanie strained her still sleepy eyes as the scene came into focus. Next to her in a similar bed was a young Asian girl. She had long black hair and was dressed in a dark sports bra and shorts. As Stephanie had admitted, her hands and feet were handcuffed tightly to the bed.
“I'm Selena.” Selena responded, still unsure how to even grasp the situation. “Do you know why were here? Who chained us up like this?”
“I woke up stuck.” Stephanie answered. “I haven't seen anyone but you and I are alone in this room. There's a door by my feet but as you can guess it's no use to us while we are stuck to these beds.”
Selena looked at the door then back to the strange timer as it counted down. “Any idea what that timer is about?”
“No clue.” Stephanie admitted. “Though I would love to be free and out of here before it counted down, so any ideas you might have to get us out of her would be appreciated.”
Selena sat up as best she could, her shoulder muscles straining to stretch her body as far as it could go against the chains which bound her ankles. “I tucked my phone into my bra before bed. I think it is still there.”
“That's awesome!” Stephanie said in a relieved tone. “We can call for help.”
“Not so awesome.” Selena said as she examined her cuffed wrists. “My hands are locked up strictly very far from my bra. I have no way to reach it.”
“I might be able to!” Stephanie answered reassuringly. “My thumbs are double jointed. I might be able to get out of my handcuffs and reach you.”
“That would be really good!” Selena encouraged. “Mine are skin tight and unless they are unlocked I'm not moving them far.”
Stephanie went to work, first getting her body into the optimal position to work on her bonds. Once her shoulders were up closer to her wrists she went to work. She twisted her arm so the cuffs were parallel with the headboards and started to pull, she twisted and manoeuvred until the round cuff was resting evenly over her wrist. As she forced her thumb in toward her hand she began to pull again, twisting the hand slowly one way and another. At first it seemed to Selena like trying to get out of the cuffs was hopeless, but sure enough Stephanie's small hand started to slide further and further out of the cuff. Stephanie began to grunt in pain but eventually the hand popped out of the cuff, sending it flopping back to the bed with a clank.
“One down!” Stephanie said in a mix of pain and triumph.
“Can you get the other?” Selena said, trying to get a better look but her own movements were extremely limited by her chains.
“One way to find out!” Stephanie replied as she went to work on the other cuff. The second had seemed easier to position, with the help of the now free hand the cuff could easily be put directly in place. To Selena it seemed this hand was not coming loose as easily because even with the help Stephanie was looking more uncomfortable than before. Stephanie grunted in pain and gasped loudly as the blood red hand finally popped out of the cuff.
“You're almost free!” Selena said, trying to mask her jealousy as her body was still strictly trapped. “What now?”
“I may be out of the handcuffs.” Stephanie said as she sat up. “But I am definitely not close to being free. The slim girl examined the leg irons on her ankles with a concerned look.
“Don't suppose your ankles are double jointed too?” Selena asked nervously.
“They actually are.” Stephanie admitted. “But even so these cuffs will simply never clear my heels. These have to be unlocked or cut off. I have no chance of slipping them. My feet are still stuck here.”
“Can you get to my phone?” Selena asked. “We can call for help and they can cut us both free of this!”
“I can try!” Stephanie said eagerly as she slid her butt ass close to the edge of her bead she could. She strained and reached, putting one hand to the ground as she reached out as far as she could with the other. It seemed she would not get close but as the girl contorted and strained her hand grew closer and closer until her fingers walked along Selena's breast, getting close to the phone. Selena shifted her own body as best she could, desperately trying to get it as close to the approaching hand as possible until Stephanie managed to get a hold of the top of the phone. But as the girl tried to remove it, Selena felt a strange sensation upon her breast, a tugging from the phone as her skin seemed completely unwilling to separate from it.
“I can't seem to pull it out!” Stephanie admitted. “Is it caught on something?”
“My skin!” Selena admitted. “Pull harder!”
Stephanie nodded, her body already under a lot of strain, sweat forming on her brow. She tugged again and again but Selena's tender skin just stretched with the phone when it moved and refused to let go.
“It's glued!” Stephanie explained. “I'd have to tear your skin off to get it to move.”
“I don't care!” Selena admitted. “Just get the damned phone!”
Selena gritted her teeth in pain and discomfort as Stephanie pulled as hard as her strange position would allow. Skin stretched farther than it looked like it should but the offending glue refused to let it loose or let it tear, eventually leading Stephanie to stop pulling.”
“It's too securely stuck.” Stephanie admitted. “I cant keep out here like this, my body is screaming in pain. I have to go back.”
“Tap the front four times clockwise from bottom left.” Selena said urgently. “I can use voice commands if it's unlocked.”
Stephanie nodded and tapped the pattern into the phone, the screen lighting up. She then went back, retreating back onto her own bed and rubbing her sore shoulder and side.
“Call 911!” Selena commanded to the phone.
“Number blocked on this device.” A digital voice replied.
“Call fire department!” Selena tried again.
“Number blocked on this device.” The digital voice repeated.
“Call Mom!” Selena insisted.
“Number blocked on this device.” The digital voice said with its inhuman indifference.
“List blocked numbers.” Selena asked the device.
“Blocked number file unavailable.” The phone responded.
“List unblocked numbers?” Selena asked, out of ideas.
“Erika L.” The phone responded. “End of unblocked list.”
“Your phone can only call one girl?” Stephanie asked in shock. “That is really weird.”
“It wasn't like this before.” Selena assured. “Someone must have reprogrammed it. Probably the same ass hole who super-glued the damn thing to my fucking tit!”
“Well call her god dammit!” Stephanie demanded. “Were running out of time and there's no way I am gonna be able to re unlock that phone of it falls asleep.”
“Right!” Selena agreed, not having considered how bad it would have been if the phone went into sleep mode. “Call Erika L!”
The phone paused for a second before responding. “Calling Erika L.”
Meanwhile, elsewhere nearby, the tall brunette Erika stood in the strange kitchen like room she and a stranger had found themselves. She stood in a pair of jean shorts and a blue tank top. Across from her was a thin tan girl with short black hair in a crop top and yoga pants. Both women were still figuring out their own situation when a phone started to ring.
“What is that?” The tan girl asked as she looked to Erika, UN-moving.
“My phone!” Erika responded as she held up her phone, clutched tightly in her right hand.
“Answer it!” The tan girl demanded. “It might be someone who can help us!”
“You know I can't!” Erika responded with a ashamed look on her face.
“Auto answer enabled.” The phone responded in an automated tone.
“Thank God!” Erika said with a relieved sigh. “Hello?”
“Erika I am so glad to hear your voice.” Selena's voice said from the other end. “Myself and a girl named Stephanie are stuck in room in...who the fuck knows where. You need to help us!”
“That is kinda unfortunate.” Erika replied with a worried tone. “As I am stuck in a room with a girl named Ria and we were kinda hoping you could help us.”
“Well were locked up in handcuffs and leg irons.” Selena explained. “We are imprisoned on a pair of beds. Are you guys chained too?”
“Not exactly.” Erika explained. “But we can't move either.
“Our fucking feet are glued.” Ria said in a frustrated tone. “Stuck tight to the floor.”
“And we're in our bare feet.” Erika added. “We cant budge. Believe me we have been trying.”
“I know the feeling.” Selena replied. “My phone is like...mega glued to my breast. It was a task in itself to even call you...my phone is all locked up can you use yours to call for help.”
“I can't” Erika explained with an ashamed sigh. “The thing is glued to my hand with the same shit that's on my feet. My other hand is glued into a fist...I cant get the phone to read any part of me...I even tried my nose. If auto answer wasn't on we wouldn't even be having this conversation.”
“Can your friend do it?” Selena asked. “Were kinda at an impasse with our cuffs...we are shit out of luck without help.”
“I totally can't reach her.” Ria explained. “We tried it but we're on other sides of what looks like an abandoned kitchen.”
“Are you sure you to cant bust out of that glue?” Stephanie asked as she joined the conversation. “We are in steel, you guys breaking out of that glue might be our only chance.”
“Believe me we are sure.” Ria said as she strained to take a step forward, the floor creaking slightly, her skin stretching but the glue cruelly holding tight. “We are fucking stuck.”
“We have literally been trying to get out of this shit for two hours.” Erika explained. “But all we got is sore feet and still intact glue. We are batshit hella stuck.”
“This glue is only coming off with a solvent.” Ria added. “We are just as restrained as you are.”
“Do you guys...” Selena asked solemnly. “...have like a countdown clock?”
“We do.” Erika answered in a grave tone. “I assume you two have one as well. We don't have much time left.”
“Neither do we.” Selena admitted. “What do you think it means? Who do you think did this to us?”
“No clue.” Erika responded. “I haven't really given it much thought.”
“The collector.” Ria answered in a serious tone. “I read about him on the deep web.”
“Who the hell is the collector?” Selena asked.
“An urban legend, or so I thought.” Ria explained. “Some sick freak who was said to just snatch girls from their beds at night. No one is sure why or what he does. All they know is they find these...bunkers. Locked with steel shutters and iron doors. Takes them hours to just break in and when they do they find the girls. Trapped in the rooms, sometimes years later. The girls were in there alone, trapped with no way out.”
“Did they ever find any of the girls alive?” Selena asked in a worried tone.
“No idea.” Ria responded. “As I said there seem to be lots of reports of them finding the bunkers...never reports of people reporting being in them.”
“Are we stuck in one of these bunkers?” Erika asked, instinctively trying to step forward, the glue yanking at her skin.”
“I sincerely hope we are not.” Ria responded. “Because the countdown is winding down and that door looks usable. I can only imagine how bad it will be if it closes and we are still stuck on this side.”
“We have to get out!” Selena replied, on her side she started to fight her chains, tugging at her hands, making the chains clank violently. She twisted her wrists to try and find a way to escape them but the solid steel clung securely to her limbs. She kicked her feet at her chains, the iron headboard refusing to give any indication it was even affected by the struggles.
“I can't do anything!” Selena called out in frustration, tears welling up around her eyes. “I can't even get up from this bed!”
Stephanie looked though her hair until she found a bobby pin and lifted it up in triumph. She bent down and tried to slide it into the side of the cuff where the teeth lock the swinging arm. However she discovered that the military grade handcuffs were guarded against that and had a metal piece to prevent picking. She then went for the keyhole but gasped as she realized it was flooded with long hardened glue. Stephanie threw the free half of her body off of the bed. She clawed at the floor, desperately trying to drag it closer to the door but the bed didn't move. She looked back to the legs of the bed and her heart sank as she saw that the legs were securely bolted onto the concrete floor.
“There's just no way to get out!” Stephanie shouted in rage. “My feet are locked up good!”
Erika, in the other room looked down at her glued feet. Unable to use her hands in any way she started to twist her body. She jerked from one side to the other, throwing her weight and adding it to her strength. The strain on the skin of her soles and toes was great but the glue, nor her skin would come free of the other. She growled in frustration as she again and again fought to lunge out of her bonds, eventually loosing her balance and falling backwards onto her butt. She just laid on the floor, her knees bent, soles still glued tight in place.
“I'm fucking stuck.” Erika said in defeat. “This glue is like it's a part of me now.”
Ria crouched down as low as she could and clawed at her feet. She tried to find some weakness in the point between her own flesh and the unyielding adhesive. It was almost like there was no longer a place where she ended and the glue began. She sawed at the skin with her nails, pried at her toes, yanked on her ankles with all she had. Nothing worked, the glue would release nothing it had claimed.
“It's like permaglue!” Ria growled. “It just wont come off!”
As all four girls struggled against their bonds the timer fell to zero. There was just a simple beep as the digital face went black. Each girl waited in silence for several seconds before a deafening sound of machinery and iron roared to life, both doors soon became obscured behind thick metal doors that descended from the above, a massive deadbolt locking with a loud thud. The doors were locked.
“Signal lost.” Selena's phone explained casually. “Can not connect to network.”
Both sets of girls, now cut off with the outside world and each started to struggle anew. Lost in bunkers no one would find for a very long time.
Perhaps the urban legend was true after all.

She twisted her wrists to try and find a way to escape them but the solid steel clung securely to her limbs. She kicked her feet at her chains, the iron headboard refusing to give any indication it was even affected by the struggles.
“I can't do anything!” Selena called out in frustration, tears welling up around her eyes. “I can't even get up from this bed!”
Stephanie looked though her hair until she found a bobby pin and lifted it up in triumph. She bent down and tried to slide it into the side of the cuff where the teeth lock the swinging arm. However she discovered that the military grade handcuffs were guarded against that and had a metal piece to prevent picking. She then went for the keyhole but gasped as she realized it was flooded with long hardened glue. Stephanie threw the free half of her body off of the bed. She clawed at the floor, desperately trying to drag it closer to the door but the bed didn't move. She looked back to the legs of the bed and her heart sank as she saw that the legs were securely bolted onto the concrete floor.
“There's just no way to get out!” Stephanie shouted in rage. “My feet are locked up good!”
Erika, in the other room looked down at her glued feet. Unable to use her hands in any way she started to twist her body. She jerked from one side to the other, throwing her weight and adding it to her strength. The strain on the skin of her soles and toes was great but the glue, nor her skin would come free of the other. She growled in frustration as she again and again fought to lunge out of her bonds, eventually loosing her balance and falling backwards onto her butt. She just laid on the floor, her knees bent, soles still glued tight in place.
“I'm fucking stuck.” Erika said in defeat. “This glue is like it's a part of me now.”
Ria crouched down as low as she could and clawed at her feet. She tried to find some weakness in the point between her own flesh and the unyielding adhesive. It was almost like there was no longer a place where she ended and the glue began. She sawed at the skin with her nails, pried at her toes, yanked on her ankles with all she had. Nothing worked, the glue would release nothing it had claimed.
“It's like permaglue!” Ria growled. “It just wont come off!”
As all four girls struggled against their bonds the timer fell to zero. There was just a simple beep as the digital face went black. Each girl waited in silence for several seconds before a deafening sound of machinery and iron roared to life, both doors soon became obscured behind thick metal doors that descended from the above, a massive deadbolt locking with a loud thud. The doors were locked.
“Signal lost.” Selena's phone explained casually. “Can not connect to network.”
Both sets of girls, now cut off with the outside world and each started to struggle anew. Lost in bunkers no one would find for a very long time.
Perhaps the urban legend was true after all.
